Posted on March 23, 2023

The Southern Youth Foundation of Nigeria, SYF, has called on Nigerian Youths to embark on massive protests and shutting down of Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN offices nationwide following the scarcity of Naira notes.
The call was made during a general meeting of the organisation in Lagos on 23rd March, 2023, over the contiuned cash crunch in the country.
In a statement signed by the National President, Snr. Comrade Emeni Ibe, the group called on both Northern Youths to join them in the mother of all protests.
“Let us show solidarity with the leadership of the NLC on the planned protests from next week” the group said.
The SYF said that the call for mass mobolization for the protest became very imperative following the conclusion of the conduct of the general elections as Nigerians expected that the apex bank, CBN, will live up to expectation  and make cash available to Nigerians but the reverse has been the case hence the call for protest.
