Daring what might happen to him about his sex status, a 39-year-old man, Abiodun Oluwadare Rominiyi has confessed to family members of a gay.

Though married, Rominiyi said he was no longer interested in the marriage as he was forced into the union by his parents contrary to his likeness.

According to Rominiyi of 134 Ope Ilu road in Agbado area of Ifo Local Government Area of Ogun State, southwest Nigeria while speaking with P.M. EXPRESS, “I’m using this medium tell everyone that I Abiodun Rominiyi I am a gay and because of this, I can’t continue to hide in this marriage.

“I know my family will be disappointed but it’s who I am and I can’t continue to hide my personality. I think my happiness should be important too.

” I know my life will be at risk I just hope this don’t end my life. I want God to be with me anywhere I find myself and I hope I find love and peace,” he confessed.

When asked that if he knew the implications of what he was confessing as a gay in a society that outlaw the practice while the religious beliefs of the people frown at it, Rominiyi said he wanted to opt out of the marriage which his family forced him into and find peace with his mind.

“It’s been painful living this life of hiding myself and I think by telling my family members my gay status, I will have a rest of mind,” he said.
