Prof Obiora Okonkwo Condoles With Ezeife Family

The Chairman of United Nigeria Airlines, Professor Obiora Okonkwo, OFR, has expressed grief over the passage of the first civilian governor of Anambra state, Dr. Chukwuemeka EZEIFE, (Ọkwá dike).
Speaking in a statement made available to journalists, on Friday, Okonkwo said Ezeife lived a fulfilled and impactful life.
He also prayed that the Almighty God would grant the Ezeife family of Igbo-Ukwu in Aguata local government area, the fortitude to bear the loss.
Describing Ezeife as an idea-bearer, a proud Igbo son, and a pan-Nigerian, Okonkwo said his time as governor of Anambra State actually set the stage for the gradual transformation of the state.
“Dr. Chukwuemeka Ezeife, a renowned statesman, dedicated democrat, and respected politician, will forever be remembered and cherished, especially by the people of Anambra State, for his significant role as the first civilian governor of the state during the Third Republic. He served with unparalleled commitment and devotion.”
“His passing has created a void that may never be filled by anyone else. He was a compassionate leader, a father to everyone, a hero, a visionary, and an upright man. Till his last breath, he was committed to Nigeria’s unity and Igbo renaissance.”
