ONC Urges President Tinubu To Address Rising Poverty And Insecurity

The leadership of the Orashi National Congress, ONC, has called upon President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to address the escalating issues of poverty and insecurity nationwide, with a particular focus on Rivers State.
This position was communicated through a communique issued at the conclusion of their meeting in Ahoada town.
During the meeting, the ONC established an award selection committee tasked with acknowledging the commendable efforts of certain security agencies and Police officers within the Orashi region.
The group expressed great concern in the communique about the worsening situation in the past few weeks, following the Presidential resolution of the political crisis in Rivers State. The Congress deemed it necessary to review the situation, citing an increasing urgency.
Furthermore, the Orashi National Congress strongly condemned threats to the life of their President General, Snr. Comrade Emeni Ibe. . They urged the Presidency to direct security agencies to urgently address the situation.

The award selection committee, led by Mr. Joseph Odudu, Assistant Secretary General, was given a mandate to prepare the awards within 72 hours.
The Orashi National Congress finally advocated for peace and unity in both Rivers State and across Nigeria, emphasizing the need for collective efforts to address the challenges at hand.
