As I arrived in the capital city, I was immediately transported to the camp, where my adventure began”.
“Upon reaching the camp, I had the pleasure of meeting a diverse group of players, all of whom were called to participate in the camp. Many of my fellow players hailed from the Northern region of Nigeria been a Muslim just like me, creating an instant bond of brotherhood. It was a heartwarming experience to connect with individuals, who shared the same religious beliefs.”
“During my time at the camp, I was fortunate to become acquainted with two remarkable individuals, Mohammed AbdulAzeez and Adamu. They graciously provided me with invaluable insights into the team’s training schedule and the day-to-day activities. Their guidance proved instrumental in helping me navigate the camp smoothly.”
“I got to know about their presence in the camp before the team travelled to Morocco, unfortunately they were not picked but they were called back to the camp for the Spanish under 16 development programme.”
“Now to the interesting part of the story, on my first training day I met with the coaches  and training kicked off. The training was strength-taking but I was able to keep up because of my training experience while in Buruj Football club.”
“As I immersed myself in the training sessions both morning and evening, I couldn’t help but feel a sense of pride and excitement. The passion for the sport and the camaraderie among the players were truly inspiring. It was an honor to be a part of this dedicated team, united in our pursuit of excellence.”
“During Training sessions I participated in all except 11 Aside. Although I was in but I didn’t have much playing time, then I started thinking the coach doesn’t like me , this makes me feel bad.”
“As trainings continued coach announced the team list of contingent traveling to Spain, I felt bad, I cried so badly but my friend AbdulAzeez told me not to think about it as it is one of those champion build-up triats, I should believe in Allah He will do it for me.
I extend my heartfelt appreciation to Dr. Salaudeen Waheed Buruj for orchestrating this incredible opportunity. His vision and dedication have allowed aspiring athletes like myself to showcase our skills and contribute to the growth of Nigerian sports.”
“While still in camp, On the 3rd of April an emergency call was put across to our coach in quest for a new team list. My name wasn’t shortlisted but I discovered  I made the list of the national team players traveling to Spain though I was dropped due to Age barriers, the coach said in the dining room in-front of all other players that he had a keen eye on my sessions. He proclaimed me to be a very good player and urge me not to loose hope as I’m still coming to play for Nigeria Under 15 UEFA development program in Argentina.”
