PANDEF National Chairman, Amb Igali Mourns Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan

The National Chairman of the Pan Niger Delta Forum, PANDEF, Amb. Godknows Boladei Igali, has commiserated with the Governor of Delta State, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, over the death of former Governor, Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan.
In a condolence letter, Igali said he received news of Uduaghan’s passing with total shock.
“I write to express my total shock at the news of the passing into glory of our dearly beloved brother, the former Governor of Delta State, HE Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan. Although we mourn, we all hold strong belief that the Almighty God knows best, and we glorify His exalted name,” he said.
Igali described the late former governor as a close associate and personal friend, noting that they both served as Secretary to their respective state governments at the same time and maintained a cordial relationship until his death.
“There is no gainsaying, Dr. Uduaghan was a close associate and personal friend, as we both served as Secretary to our states government simultaneously and maintained cordial relationship till his passage to the great beyond,” he said.
He said Uduaghan was an exceptional man whose commitment to the people of Delta State was unfettered, particularly highlighting the significant role he played as Secretary to the State Government and later as Governor in bringing peace and stability to the Niger Delta during the period of heightened militancy.
“Indeed, this is a big loss not only to Delta State, but to Niger Delta and the country at large. I pray that the legacy, which he has left behind in his service to God and mankind will live on in the confines of our hearts, as he had embedded his name in gold in the annals of our history. ‘And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus’ (Phil. 4:7),” Igali stated.
He extended his deepest condolences to the Uduaghan family and the people of Delta State, praying for the repose of his soul.
