K. O. Mbadiwe University Holds 3-day Entrepreneurship Development Workshop

The programme, which held from Tuesday June 25 to Thursday 27, 2024 at the University’s Senate Building, from 2:00pm to 4:00Pm, for the three (3) days, allowed Online Participation for those who could not be present.
The historic Workshop enjoyed the support and partnership of various well meaning Professional and Public Agencies, who gave the programme a special touch of excellence.
It also witnessed the presence and commendations of organisations like the Nigerians In Diaspora Organisation (NIDO) Europe, National Directorate of Employment (NDE), Small and Medium Enterprise Development Agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN), National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Nigerian Export Promotion Council (NEPC) and the great National Universities Commission (NUC) among many others.
The double Certification Program, which is the first of its kind in South East and the second in Nigeria, has further consolidated Kingsley Ozumba (K.O.) Mbadiwe University, (KOMU) at the global and international space.
K. O. Mbadiwe University EDC (KOMU-EDC) in Collaborations With the University Innovation Training Centre (KOMU-ITC) were key operators towards making the programme possible.
Obinna Wachukwu, who presented the goodwill message on behalf of the National Universities Commission (NUC), identified that the programme is aimed at helping the emerging new graduates start and develop their own businesses as an alternate means of achieving self goal especially in a time like this when there are little or no job employment opportunities for graduates.
The Vice Chancellor of the University, Professor I.N.S Dozie, in his remarks eulogised the Imo State Governor and Visitor of the University, Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma (CON), for his unflinching support to the University and as well, the Commissioner for Education, Prof Johncliff Nwadike, who gave goodwill message on behalf of the Imo State Government. The VC, also applauded Obinna Wachukwu for his valuable remarks as conveyed in his goodwill message on behalf the NUC.
The Vice Chancellor, further appreciated the contributions of the University’s Deputy Vice Chancellor (DVC), Prof Aloy Onyeka, the Programme Cordinator, Professor O. T. Ebiringa, and the entire institution’s management staff for their efforts towards the programme a huge success.
The Students’ Union Government (SUG) President, on behalf of the students thanked the VC, the University management and the programme partners for the rare opportunity.
