Renewed Hope GVTHC Applauds Dr. Abdullahi On Groundbreaking Establishment Of Renewable Energy College
The Chief Host of the Renewed Hope Global Virtual Town Hall Conference, J.K. Adebola Esq., has congratulated Dr Mustapha Abdullahi, Director General of Energy Commission of Nigeria, for his visionary initiative of establishing a renewable energy college in Nigeria.
The Barefoot Energy College initiative is a giant step toward filling the workforce gaps that plague Nigeria and will undoubtedly bridge the gap in the renewable energy knowledge base in innovation areas with linked opportunities.
Establishing the renewable energy college proves that the Energy Commission of Nigeria remains uncompromising in surmounting the critical need for skilled human resources in the renewable energy sector. It is expected to play a vital role in harnessing the vast energy resources available in Nigeria through effective collaboration among industry players and strategic coordination by the Energy Commission of Nigeria.
According to J K Adebola Esq. in his goodwill message, the initiative came at just the right time, as the College represented hope and optimism that Nigeria would have a sustainable future.
“The establishment of this College is not just a step forward for Nigeria; it is a leap for the nation in our collective journey toward delivering renewable energy solutions.
“It is a mark of our commitment towards building a better future – a future where innovative and educated minds are the signposts of our progress,” Adebola said.
The event, held on Saturday, August 10, 2024, highlighted the unity and determination of the government, industry, and other stakeholders in the renewable energy sector. Among the esteemed guests were H.E. Governor Usman Ododo of Kogi State, Hon. Uche Nnaji, Minister for Innovation, Science, and Technology, and Hon. Bello Oyakhilome from the United States.
