Infrastructure Development Plan: Coordinator Of Akungba Platforms Calls Gov Aiyedatiwa’s Attention

Posted on January 3, 2025

Your Excellency,
Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa,
Executive Governor,
Ondo State,Governor’s Office, Alagbaka, Akure.

*Your Excellency,*

*URGENT APPEAL FOR THE INCLUSION OF AKUNGBA TOWNSHIP ROADS IN ONDO STATE INFRASTRUCTURAL DEVELOPMENT PLAN*

I write with utmost respect and a sense of responsibility on behalf of the good people of Akungba, a university town renowned for its academic and economic contributions to Ondo State.

First and foremost, let me congratulate you on your recent electoral success and commend the bold steps your administration has taken in prioritizing infrastructural development through the approval of over 50 township road projects across the state. The commitment to the ‘OUR EASE’ mandate is indeed a testament to your dedication to the prosperity of Ondo State.

However, Your Excellency, it is with great concern that I note the exclusion of Akungba from the list of towns benefiting from these projects, despite its strategic importance and overwhelming electoral support for your candidacy during the just-concluded gubernatorial election. It is on record that Akungba delivered over 90% of its votes to your mandate, showcasing our faith in your leadership and the belief in your promises to address our infrastructural needs, particularly the long-overdue dualization of Akungba roads.

As a university town hosting Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba is a bustling hub for education, commerce, and culture. Unfortunately, the state of our roads has continued to deteriorate, affecting the safety of our citizens, the ease of transportation, and the overall quality of life in our community. These challenges were further exacerbated during the previous administration, despite repeated assurances of intervention.

Your Excellency, Akungba’s roads are not just pathways but lifelines that connect thousands of students, traders, and residents to their daily endeavors. The dualization of Akungba roads remains a critical project, not only for the town’s development but also for the state’s image and economic advancement.

We humbly appeal for the inclusion of Akungba township roads in the next phase of your administration’s infrastructural projects. This gesture will not only fulfill your campaign promises but also reaffirm the trust and support of the Akungba community in your government.

*May your administration continue to witness unprecedented success as you steer Ondo State towards a new era of growth and prosperity.*

*Thank you for your kind attention, Your Excellency.*

Yours faithfully,

Pius Ade Babaleye (PAB)
Coordinator
Akungba Platforms
