Top Igbo APC Chieftain Prince Anselm Udoka a.k.a Orobo Passes On In Lagos

The Igbo community in Lagos State has been thrown into mourning following the death of top APC chieftain and  National Coordinator Igbo Mandate in APC, Prince Anselm Udoka (Orobo). 

 

P.M.EXPRESS reports that Prince Udoka died days ago after he was admitted at the intensive care unit of the Gbagada General Hospital over an undisclosed ailment.

 

His corpse has been deposited at mortuary in his home town in Imo State.

 

Some of Ndigbo residents in Lagos have been reacting over his death, which they described as shocking because they did not hear that he was sick before the information spread that he has died.

 

Relations, friends, wellwishers and political associates have been trooping to his house at Green Field Estate in Ago Okota area to pay condolences and console his wife.

 

One of the Igbo stakeholders, Chief Chinedu Ndubisi, described his death as not only shocking but very devastating because he was kind and always willing to assist people in difficulty without consideration where the person comes from.

The first president of Ohanaeze Ndigbo in Lagos State, Chief John Uche, described his death as shocking and explained how he got the information about his death. He said that someone called him that Orobo was admitted at the General Hospital, has died and that the corpse has been taken to his hometown. Chief Uche stated that he doubted the information until he later confirmed it.

 

He expressed his regrets over his demise and described Orobo as man with a kind heart and who was always willing to listen to and care for the people. He noted that Ndigbo will miss him because associated with both the poor and the rich.

 

Some of the political associates that will miss late Orobo include the leader of Ndigbo in APC, Lagos State, Chief Joe Igbokwe, Chief Chris Ekwilo, Chief Babatata Uche, Chief Mrs. Vivian Obi among others.

Ohanaeze Ndigbo led by their president,  Chief Solomon Ogbonna Aguene and Igbo Speaking community, led by president Sunday Udeh will also miss the late Orobo including his political godfather, Ogbeni Aregbesola and Baba Eto among others.
