Anambra LG Mayors Pay Solidarity Visit To Onitsha North Mayor Over Recent Unsuccessful Attack By Hoodlums

In a show of solidarity, the Mayors of Anambra State Local Government Areas have visited their colleague, Hon. Nweze Tony Nwora, Mayor of Onitsha North LGA, following his recent attack by hoodlums.

 

Recall that Hon. Nweze Tony Nwora was attacked on 4th February, 2025, during his routine patrol of the council area, of which the criminal elements were swiftly repelled by the vigilant Onitsha North Agunachemba security team.

 

In his speech, Mayor Chibueze Ofobuike thanked Almighty God for the heavenly guidance upon the life of Hon. Nweze Tony Nwora, Mayor of Onitsha North LGA.

Equally, Hon. Mrs. Amaka Obi (Iyom Ifeabata) prayed for God’s continued guidance and protection for Mayor Nwora as he pilots the affairs of Onitsha North LGA.

Additionally, Hon. Rome Ibekwe urged the Mayor of Onitsha North LGA to sustain the efforts made so far in combating crime in the area.

In response, Mayor Nwora thanked his colleagues for taking the time to visit him, noting that he remains undeterred in the fight against crime and criminality.

Chijoke Ozumba Esq, Mayor of Dunukofia LGA, and Hon. Augustine Onyemaobi, Immediate Past TC Chairman of Dunukofia LGA.

Also present was Dr Alex Obiogbolu, Special Adviser (Political Matters) to Mr. Governor Prof Charles Chukwuma Soludo.

 

This gathering not only underscored the unity among the Local Government Mayors but also highlighted their commitment to ensuring the safety and security of their various communities.
