In a decisive move to resolve longstanding boundary issues, the Executive Chairman of Ojodu LCDA, Hon. Segun Odunmbaku, led an inspection of the boundary areas between Ojodu LCDA in Lagos State and Ifo LGA in Ogun State.

The exercise, conducted in collaboration with officials from the Lagos State Boundary Commission, was aimed at identifying and demarcating the territorial limits between both Local Government areas.

The inspection team, which included representatives from the Ministry of Local Government, Chieftaincy Matters, and Rural Development (MLGCA&RD), was also accompanied by the Vice Chairman of Ojodu LCDA, Hon. Bunmi Oluyadi, and key stakeholders.

According to officials from the Boundary Matters Department, the primary objective of the visit was to establish clear boundary identification between Ojodu LCDA and Ifo LGA. To achieve this, the Office of the State Surveyor General embarked on a site inspection to record coordinate points, a crucial step in determining the exact territorial limits.

The boundary assessment covered key locations such as Kosoko Street in Ojodu Berger up to Yakoyo Bridge, where geographical data was collected for further analysis. The process is expected to provide clarity on land administration and governance, fostering a better understanding between both communities.

Present during the inspection were traditional rulers, market women, community leaders, and youth representatives, all of whom expressed support for the initiative.

Hon. Odunmbaku reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to due process, stating that resolving boundary matters would enhance infrastructural planning, administrative coordination and service delivery for residents.
