REV. PAUL EZE

My Dear Ndigbo
As we gather in reflection on this significant day, I want to remind each of us the profound importance of MAY 30TH. This date is not a day on the calendar; it is a solemn occasion dedicated to honouring the brave heroes among us – those who sacrificed their lives fighting in the Civil War and others, whose sacrifices have to an extent paved the way for our peace and freedom.
Our history is marked by their courage, resilience, and unwavering commitment to our collective wellbeing. As we remember our fallen heroes, let us also take this opportunity to reflect on our root as a people. We come from the lineage of warriors, visionaries, survivors who faced adversity with strength and resolve.
it is on this day that we are called to renew our love for our community, our culture, and our shared identity. We must stand United, for unity is our greatest strength in overcoming the challenges that threaten our progress. We are reminded that our enemies – whether external or internal – can only weaken us if we allow division to prevail. But United by our history and shared purpose, we can conquer any obstacle.
Let us honour the memory of our heroes by embodying their spirit of bravery and sacrifice. Let us love one another and work together to build a future worthy of their sacrifice. Our unity and love for ourselves are the greatest tributes we can pay to those who died in the Civil War.
May we carry their legacy forward, always remembering where we come from and why we fight for better tomorrow. May we always give sincere and profound thanks to the God Almighty who gave us life and lifted us where we are today against the wishes of our enemies.
Rev.Paul Eze.
