LG Polls: Odunmbaku, Layeni Lead Strategic Engagement With Artisans, Market Leaders & NURTW Members

In a bid to deepen grassroots mobilization ahead of the upcoming local government elections, the Executive Chairman of Ojodu LCDA and re-election candidate, Hon. Segun Odunmbaku, yesterday hosted a strategic engagement session at the Council Secretariat. He was joined by his running mate, Alhaja Kafaya Layeni and six councillorship candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The high-level meeting brought together critical stakeholders including artisans, market leaders, and members of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), alongside members of the DOS/KFL campaign council.
Ojodu APC Chairperson, Alhaja Stella Kokumo and Campaign DG, Barrister Olawale Ajala, urged attendees to rally massive support for the party to sustain the developmental strides recorded under Odunmbaku’s first term while Vice Chairmanship candidate, Alhaja Kafaya Layeni, emphasized unity and continuity as pillars of the joint ticket and candidacy that heralds a
promising sustained growth for Ojodu LCDA.
Hon. Odunmbaku highlighted his administration’s achievements and plans in market redevelopment, free health surgeries, school renovations, empowerments and distribution of tools, free interest loans to artisans, market women and POS operators, skills acquisition programmes, infrastructure contracts to local artisans and ongoing plans for motor park upgrades.
He applauded the support of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Hon. Dr. James Faleke through legislation and economic reforms urging stakeholders to deliver 20,000 votes as a show of appreciation while Artisan leader, Comrade Iyanda Dauda, Iyaloja Folashade Salako and NURTW representatives pledged loyalty and votes to the APC, presenting campaign souvenirs in support.
