The efforts of the Board of Trustees of the Igbo Speaking Community, Lagos State led by Dr Jonathan Nnaji to restore peace in the group may be a mirage following fresh crisis over the involvement of Chief Sunday Eze in the implementation of consent judgment.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that just few days after the BOT summoned a stakeholders meeting, read the consent judgment, and Chief Sunday Eze told the stakeholders that he was stepping down for Sunday Udeh as president so that there will be no more presidential election, a fresh crisis is brewing.

After the stakeholders meeting, there has been various agitations against the decision of Chief Sunday Eze getting involved in the peace process of the community.

Some members are agitating that Sunday Eze was not part of the Consent judgment because he had withdrawn from the peace move, conducted an election and sworn in one Chief Okenze Tochukwu Anadu as president of his own faction at Eze Christian Uchechukwu Nwachukwu’s palace in Ago Okota, Lagos.

One of the members of Igbo Speaking Community kicking against the arrangement involving Sunday Eze is Rowland Igwilo (Eze Ubadinma), who insisted that Chief Eze, who has since made himself the Apex leader of his own faction of the Community, has no business in the Igbo Speaking Community’s consent judgment and the stepping down was null and void.

These are some of the reactions going on on the social media after the meeting:
OPEN MESSAGES:To The Igbo Speaking  Community BOT Chairman and Members Concerning Chief Sunday Eze And His So-called Withdrawal:
“Chief Sunday Eze stepped down. I want to refresh the minds of the general public with some memorable pictures of what happened after signing the peace agreement that forms the Court consent Judgment. Chief Eze pulled out of the agreement he signed and proceeded to organise a factional election. Key points:
– Swearing ceremony at Eze Christian Nwachukwu’s palace
– Election held at Igbo speaking community headquarters, Eze Ojiofor Ndigbo Palace
– Covered by print and electronic media”
– Sunday Eze is no longer part of the peace movement or process
– He’s operated his faction with President  Tochukwu  Anadu for over a year
– The person who delivered his withdrawal letter confirmed it a few days ago
– Sunday Eze is no longer part of the peace process, he shouldn’t benefit from the consent Judgement”
Attached are the pictures of the so-called swearing in ceremony of his elected new factional president by name Tochukwu and the picture of Chief Sunday Eze embracing his newly sworn in president. Sunday Eze has since proclaimed himself the Apex leader of the Igbo speaking community.”

P.M.EXPRESS investigation revealed that Chief Sunday Eze conducted election of his own faction of the Igbo Speaking Community, Lagos and elected Okenze Tochukwu Anadu as president and they have their regular meetings at Eze Christian Nwachukwu’s palace in Ago Okota, Lagos.

The BOT Chairman, Dr Jonathan Nnaji, has not reacted over the controversy concerning Chief Sunday Eze since the issue was raised by some members. Meanwhile Chief Sunday Udeh remains the only candidate for the Igbo Speaking Community’s presidential election.
