Wike And Sowore, And The Hammer Of Karma

CHIEF MACDONALD ENWERE

I love Karma because it is a Leveller. It spares no one, it is a boomerang and reminds us of who we are. Karma is like a rubber band, when stretched too far, it returns and smacks you in the face. No wonder, Abhishek Shukla, described Karma as a balance sheet of life which debits and credits our deeds.

Anyone who has been following Wike’s political trajectory will know that the current FCT Minister has no modicum of respect for anyone. He talks with upmost disdain, talking from both sides of his mouth. He has no respect for decorum and speaks like a loose canon. He is ready to dance naked all the time without respect to the position he occupies as a public officer, whose character and personality quotient should depicts honour, maturity and decency. He picks on anyone anyhow he likes and abuses people to stupor. Once he gathers few journalists in his house, he uses the medium to go berserk and swim in the ocean of malignancy and abuses.

At a point, Wike became the microcosm of the fallen standard of Nigeriran politics, creating delusional deflection of power and influence. He sees himself as the Idi Amin Dada and Emperor Jean Bedel Bokassa of Central African Republic. He displays perpetual influence to strangulate every oppositional and dissenting voices. He talks like the biblical King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon and Emperor Maximinus Thrax of the early Roman Empire. He wants to dissipate every other operational force, the way and manner he did in Rivers State like the proverbial Headmaster, who reigns with enormous influence and power during the olden days elementary school.
He wants to turn Nigerian state into a theater of comedy and Ragamuffian exuberance, behaving like someone who lost his dynamic building block and moral dignity and character conduct, making everyone to mock him and use him as a topic for riddles and jokes.

While he was in his open drama, he failed to realize that there is one strong man who records the drama of men in the theater of life, he is called KARMA. He forgets that Karma is watching him and does not sleep. He never knew that Karma moves around with records of his antagonism.

Nyesom Wike never knew that one day Karma will knock at his door. And when Karma knocks, he cannot escape the hammer of Karma. He never knew that Karma will bring out Sowore one day to drag him out. Sowore is someone who is dogged and unrelented in any fight he chooses to embark on. He uses all arsenals at his disposal including his international contacts and the media to garnish his fight. He is ready to go to the extreme to dig information about Wike, which many people may not have knowledge of. Draging Sowore and coming into his space was the biggest mistake Wike made. He can never know the direction where the fight with Sowore will end. Sowore has his own nuisance connection more than Wike, he may also have the advantage of ethnic bias as a Yoruba man, more than Wike, many people may not know this. A wise man chooses his fight and the person he fights with, not anyone he sees.

One thing very sacrosanct is that, no one can deceive God, no matter how smart you may think you are. That is why he is called Omniscient, he knows the beginning of every situation, even before the beginning begins.

That was why Paul in the Bible wrote to the Galatians about Karma, that “Be not deceived; God is not mocked, whatsoever a man soweth, that he shall reap”, Good or bad, each of everyone of us must reap the fruit of our deeds, for there is no indulgence in karma. Had it been that Wike knew that one day Karma will bring out Sowore to face him in a fight, he would have been wise in choosing his fight mate.
