ECN DG Honoured With Diaspora Excellence In Public Service Award At UNGA80

The UNGA80 side event, organised by Renewed Hope Global on Monday, 22nd September, 2025, spotlighted the achievements of Dr Mustapha Abdullahi, CEng MIMechE, Director-General and Chief Executive Officer of the Energy Commission of Nigeria (ECN), who was honoured with the prestigious Diaspora Excellence in Public Service Award.
The award was received on his behalf by Dr Princess Aderemi Adebowale, National Programme Manager of the National Home-Grown School Feeding Programme (RH-NHGSFP).
The award celebrates distinguished Nigerians from the Diaspora who have returned home and are excelling in government and public institutions. It affirms the value of bringing international exposure, professional expertise, and global best practices into Nigeria’s public service to deliver reforms, transparency, and innovative solutions.
