Guinness Lights Up Owerri With Epic Match Day Football Viewing Experience

Guinness, renowned for its bold vibes and rich heritage, brought the city of Owerri to life on Sunday, November 30, 2025, as football fans thronged the Landmark Event Centre for an unforgettable edition of the Guinness Epic Match Day football viewing experience. The once-quiet Concorde Road transformed into a vibrant gathering point for football lovers of all ages, as Guinness Stout delivered a premium, fun-filled viewing experience for the highly anticipated Chelsea vs. Arsenal Premier League clash.

The event, the first of its kind in Owerri, attracted a lively mix of young people, event goers and passionate football fans who immersed themselves in an energizing atmosphere filled with ice-cold Guinness, large-screen match viewing, great music, delicious refreshments, and a range of engaging activities. The electrifying ambience inside the hall kept fans engrossed long before kick-off, while live DJ sets and a lively hype crew amplified the excitement throughout the evening.

One of the highlights of the event was the Predict & Win segment, where guests competed for exciting prizes. Many attendees expressed delight, with Tessy Nwafor, a first-time guest, describing it as “a well-spent evening,” while another fan, Chika Onuoha, praised Guinness for “delivering the excellence the brand is known for.” Also present at the event was online sensation and much anticipated Fans Tribe HQ – an online banter platform that delighted many of their Owerri followers with real-time football banter and analysis. Owerri resident, Marcel Okorie, said the event “made for a perfect Sunday outing.” and wishes for a repeat of this event from Guinness.
