Comrade Dauda Promises To End Flooding In Ikeja Area

The Executive Chairman of Ikeja Local Government Area, Lagos State, Comrade Akeem Olalekan Dauda (AKOD), on Sunday, 28th December, 2025, promised to end perennial flooding in the Ikeja area of the state.
The Ikeja LG Boss made the promise during a live broadcast on Rainbow FM 94.1.
The energetic Comrade Dauda was responding to a comment by one of the listeners about flooding in the Ikeja area.
He assured that this would be done in collaboration with the State Government.
According to him, “We are aware of the flooding in Ikeja and plans are in the pipeline to combat it”.
“We are working with the State Government to open up the underground channels in the axis so that flooding will be a thing of the past.”
“Our administration is taking note of what is expected of us, taking one step after the other to achieve this. We are open to constructive criticisms as we work towards delivering on our mandate” Comrade Dauda stated.
