IGP Egbetokun Approves Redeployment Of AIG Tunji Disu To Force CID Annex

The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, has approved the immediate redeployment of Assistant Inspector-General of Police (AIG) Olatunji Rilwan Disu to head the Force Criminal Investigation Department (CID) Annex, Alagbon, Lagos.

 

The posting, which takes effect immediately, was approved on Monday, February 2, 2026, as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen leadership and operational efficiency within the Nigeria Police Force.

 

Prior to his redeployment, AIG Disu served as the Assistant Inspector-General of Police in charge of the Special Fraud Unit (SFU), where he played a key role in coordinating investigations into complex financial and economic crimes.

 

A seasoned and highly experienced officer, AIG Disu has previously served as Commissioner of Police for the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Command and Rivers State Command, among other strategic assignments across the country.

 

He was elevated to the rank of Assistant Inspector-General of Police on March 25, 2025, in recognition of his years of dedicated service and outstanding contributions to policing and internal security in Nigeria.
