It was the end of the road for the two  armed robbers, Ibrahim Wasiu, 23 and Saka Waheed who specialised in using toy pistols to rob innocent people in Lagos.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the suspects were caught by the police at Ogumuyiwa and Ejire streets in Itire area of Lagos where they were using the toy guns to rob and violently attack victims in the area.

Some of the victims were Samuel Atare, Apugo Chizoba and others who the suspects had reportedly pointed the toy guns at and dispossessed them of their phones, cash and other valuables.

Police source said that the suspects have been using the toy pistols to rob. They used to point the toys at the victims who mistook them as real guns and surrendered whatever they had to save their lives.

However, they met their waterloo when as usual they carried out their violent operation but were caught by the police on patrol who arrested them with the toy guns. They were taken to the Itire Police Division and the toy guns were recovered as exhibit.

It was gathered that during interrogation, they confessed that they were still new in the job and could not afford money to buy original guns, and so they started with toy guns.

They were charged before Isolo Magistrates court for robbery and unlawful possession of toy guns.

They pleaded not guilty.

The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. O.A. Teluwo granted the suspects bail in the sum of N100,000 with two sureties in like sum.
The prosecutor, Mr. Oje Uagbale did not object their bail thereby paving way for them to be granted bail.

However, the suspects were remanded in prison custody pending when they will perfect their bail condition.
The matter was adjourned till 26 March, 2018.
