Man, 28, Docked For Invading Female Socialite’s Home, Carting Away N500m Property

A 28-year old man, Paul Wilson, has been arrested and charged in Lagos State for allegedly invading the home of a female socialite, Princess Ojai and carting away property worth N500m.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened in June, 2025, at Sasegbon Street, GRA, Ikeja, Lagos.
Some of the stolen items included electronics, vehicles, jewelries, cash, etc., totaling ₦500m belonging to the complainant.
According to the Police, the suspect and others now at large conspired and stole the items before the complainant discovered and reported to the Police at Ikeja Division. The Police moved into action, eventually arrested and detained the suspect at the station for interrogation over his alleged conduct.
After thorough interrogation, the Police found him culpable and charged him before the Ogba Magistrate Court for the alleged offence which attracts several years of imprisonment.
The charges read:
COUNT. I: “That you, PAUL WILSON “M” and others now at large sometime in the month of June, 2025 till date at No. 11a/11b Sasegbon Street, GRA, Ikeja, in the Ikeja Magisterial District, did conspire among yourselves to commit felony to wit stealing and thereby committed an offence punishable under Section 411 of the Criminal Laws of Lagos State of Nigeria, 2015.”
COUNT II:”That you, PAUL WILSON “M” and others at large on the same date, and place in the aforementioned Magisterial District, did steal the following items at the above address, Nigerian wires value N45,000,000.00, Armored Cables value N30,000,000.00, Heavy duty Iron Roller on fence value N1,000,000.00, Heavy duty customized steel #1,800,000.00 each in total N43,200,000.00, G. Wagon Exhaust and Catalyst N850,000.00, Mazda Saloon Car Wires value ₩250,000.00, Mercedes Benz Booth, Light and Wires N1,000,000.00, and other items which included Phones, Computers, Flat Screen TVs, Clothes, Suitcases, Bags, Shoes, Gold Jewelries, Cash, Iron, Industrial Pots, Coolers, Speakers, New Fridges and Deep Freezers, 70 brand New and Old Air conditioners, Industrial Washing Machines, and Dryers, etc. Total Value N500,000,000.00 Five Hundred Million Naira, Property of One PRINCESS OJAI “F”, and thereby committed an offence contrary to Section 287 of the criminal laws of Lagos State of Nigeria, 2015.”
However, he pleaded not guilty.
The prosecutor, Supol Josephine Ihkayere, then asked the Court to give a date for hearing since he pleaded not guilty to enable the Police to prove that he actually committed the alleged offence.
The Presiding Magistrate, Mr. L.A. Owolabi, granted him bail with two sureties, who must show evidence of means of livelihood and tax payment while addresses will be verified by the Court.
The matter was adjourned for mention while the defendant was remanded in custody at the correctional center at Kirikiri town, Lagos, pending when he will perfect his bail conditions.
