Ohanaeze Election: Imo State Ohanaeze Chairmen/ Stakeholders Endorse Oba Ojoto For Presidency

The presidential ambition of Chief Leonard Okafor (Oba Ojoto) has received a big boost following his endorsement by the Chairmen and stakeholders of Ohanaeze Ndigbo from Imo State for the presidency.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the endorsement took place at the palace of Ezendigbo, Eze Dr Christian Uchechukwu Nwachukwu at Ago Okota, Lagos.
It was attended by notable personalities and critical stakeholders from Imo State resident in Lagos.
The guests included Ezendigbo in Lagos, Eze Christian Nwachukwu, Eze Okpoko of Obodoukwu town in Imo State, Eze Dr Chika Nwokedi, Chairmen and executive members of Ohanaeze Ndigbo from Imo State and other critical stakeholders including leaders of the markets led by Chief C.F.C Obi.
Also present to witness the endorsement were Oba Ojoto campaign team, friends and wellwishers of the astute administration and former Chairman of Alaba International Market, Oba Ojoto.
This was confirmed by Eze Nwachukwu, who stated that they have decided to support Oba Ojoto because of the role he played in uniting Ohanaeze in Lagos State.
Nwachukwu stated that for the past years, Ohanaeze Ndigbo Lagos has been in crisis and was factionalized between Chief Solomon Aguene and Chief Sunday Ossai.
He explained that it took personal sacrifices and efforts by Oba Ojoto by singlehandedly bringing Aguene and Ossai together to be united, stressing that such a man who achieved that feat has exceptional qualities and integrity.
As the Presidential election draws closer, Oba Ojoto, popular known as Peace Maker, is gaining momentum in the race and many States and Local Governments in the State have continued to endorse him.
Oba Ojoto explained that Ohanaeze Ndigbo Lagos State needs a strong leadership that will unite and consolidate the peace among its members in Lagos State.
He explained that he accepted to contest after some critical stakeholders asked him to contest in order to restore lasting peace in Ohanaeze.
He stated that he has a critical role to play in ensuring that peace returns to Ohanaeze Ndigbo Lagos State.
“There is need for peace to come back to Ohanaeze. The peace process has already started, we need to consolidate the peace as both Solomon and Ossai have come together.”
He explained that he has been in Ohanaeze for so long, identified the areas to address and put in place what will make Ohanaeze stronger and better for the benefit of Ndigbo.
