Police Boss Confirms Zainab Nelson Was Murdered By Husband

The Commissioner of Police Mr Imohimi Edgal has confirmed that Mrs. Zainab Nelson was actually murdered by her Danish husband, Peter as autopsy report and the forensic investigation carried out have revealed in Lagos.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that CP Edgal while briefing newsmen said that the autopsy report stated that Mrs. Nelson died as a result of painful impact on her head.That means that the victim was hit by a hard object which caused her death and that of their 3-year old daughter and that she was dragged from the bedroom in pool of her blood to cover the act.
He also revealed that the forensic reported showed that there were blood stains from the kitchen to the living room and it was cleaned up, but through forensic investigation it was revealed in the report. He also hinted that the hand towel which was used to clean the blood after the attack was discovered and it was traced to her husband through forensic examination. He equally explained that the police went to the extent of autopsy report and forensic investigation, to prove to the court that the suspect actually murdered the victim.
The CP however, did not disclose who and where the autopsy report was done and who carried out the forensic investigations. He said that the burden of proof against the suspect was on the police and that was why there were thorough investigations on the murder.
Following the deaths, the police arrested Mr. Peter Nelson and charged him before Yaba Magistrates court, Lagos for the alleged murder of the victims.
The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. Ayeye ordered him to be remanded in prison custody and the case file sent to DPP for advice.
Mr. Peter Nelson has been in the news after the wife and daughter were found dead in his home at Banana Island, Lagos. It was learnt that after the alleged murder, he tried to cover up his tracks and pretended that he did not know the cause of their death. However, the police intensified their investigations and had worked to prove that Mr. Peter was behind the murder of Zainab and their daughter.
