The Nigeria Police Force has placed two men on its wanted list over an alleged conspiracy and murder case that happened in highbrow Ikoyi area of Lagos State.
In a Special Police Gazette Bulletin released on Tuesday, August 12, 2026, the Force, acting on the directive of the Inspector-General of Police, named the suspects and called on Nigerians to help track them down.
The bulletin stated that the men are wanted in connection with an alleged incident involving a woman in Ikoyi. Police alleged that the suspects worked with others in connection with the case. It was also alleged that after the incident, the victim was moved from the location and her personal items were taken.
The first suspect named is Ajibola Obateru, 33. His last known address was listed as Ibadan, Oyo State. Police say he is slim, about 5.9ft tall, and fair in complexion with thick black hair and a high forehead. He has an oval face, long nose, small mouth, thin lips, black eyes, and a pointed chin.
The second suspect is Folawiyo Balogun Alagbado, 32, also reportedly from Ibadan. He is described as being of average height and dark in complexion. Other features listed include an oval face, wide nose, round chin, long and wide mouth, and medium lips.
The Police are now asking Lagosians and Nigerians everywhere to be on the lookout. Members of the public with useful information have been advised not to confront the suspects but to report immediately to any Police station close to them. Information can also be submitted directly to the State Criminal Investigation Department, SCID, at Musiliu Smith Street, Panti-Yaba, Lagos.
A senior Police source said the Force is determined to get to the bottom of the matter and bring all persons connected to it to face the law. The source added that the identity of anyone who provides information will be protected and that all tips will be treated with confidentiality.
The Police also cautioned citizens to allow law enforcement officers to handle the situation in line with due process.
The case is still under investigation and more details are expected in the coming days as detectives continue their work. Authorities said updates will be provided to the public as the investigation progresses.
