President Buhari with Gov. Tambuwal

President Muhammadu Buhari will pay a one-day working visit to Sokoto, the Seat of the Caliphate on Saturday.

A statement issued Friday by the spokesperson of Governor Aminu Tambuwal, Imam Imam, said while in Sokoto, the president will officially inaugurate the 500 unit housing estate built by the Sokoto State Government for civil servants at Kalambaina.

“The president will use the occasion of the visit to witness the Durbar organised as part of activities marking the 10th anniversary of the appointment of Sultan Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar to the throne,” the statement said.

Buhari’s visit is coming 48 hours after his vice, Yemi Osinbajo also visited the seat of the Caliphate.

Osinbajo was a special guest at a Symposium organized as part of activities to mark the 10th anniversary of the ascension to the Sultanate throne by Sa’ad Abubakar, the Sultan of Sokoto.
