Man, 73, Who Raped And Impregnated Girl, 14, Opens Up

A 73-year old man, Mr. Fola Olowoigbo who tricked 14-year old girl, engaged her in marathon sex and eventually impregnated her, has opened up on how he ruined the victim’s future in Lagos.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that Olowoigbo said it actually started in August, 2017 till 2018 when he lured the victim into his apartment, started inserting fingers into her private before he deflowered and started sleeping with her. He said that he did not know that she get pregnant until he was arrested and charged to court for the offence.

The detectives from Gender section of the Police arrested Olowoigbo and detained him after he allegedly tricked and defiled the victim and impregnated her.

The incident happened at Fela Ahmed Street, Agric area of Ikorodu, Lagos, where they resided.

According to the victim, the suspect who had grown up children and grand children, lured her into his apartment and started putting his finger into her private part since last year before he eventually raped her and she got pregnant. She said that the suspect warned her not the tell anyone or an undisclosed calamity will befall her.
However, the whole thing got exposed after the victim became pregnant and she mentioned Pa Olowoigbo as being responsible. He was then arrested and detained at the Command. He admitted and revealed how it all happened. He said that he had wanted to settle the matter and take care of the pregnancy since he cannot marry the victim.

He was charged before Ogba Magistrates court for defiling the victim.

The prosecutor, Mr. Christopher John, informed the court the condition of the victim after the alleged defilement which took almost one year.
The Presiding Magistrate, Mr. P.E Nwaka did not take his plea. He ordered him to be remanded in prison custody pending the time his bail will be considered.
The matter was adjourned till 25 June, 2018.

P.M.EXPRESS gathered that because of the pregnancy, the victim withdrew from school and was taken to an undisclosed center where she was expected to be delivered of the baby.
