Prophet Arrested For Forcing 2 Women To Part With Phones

One Prophet Frank Williams Osifo, has been arrested in Lagos after he reportedly forced two women, Hawa Saleh and Ojonuwa Paul, to use  their phones to ‘sow seed’ for deliverance during a church service.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened at Ewedigbon area of the Igando in the outskirts of Lagos where his ministry was located and the women went for prayers.

P.M.EXPRESS scooped that the two women became victims when they met Prophet Osifor and he gave them prophecies. He told them that they needed to sow seeds in the church so that they will become prosperous as he had seen in his vision. The victims explained to him that they had no money with them and he asked them to deposit their phones which he later converted to money and prayed for them. He asked them to go home without their phones.
However, when one of the women returned home and her husband asked about her phone, she told him that Prophet Osifo had forced her to use it to sow seed during a church service. It was learnt the husband became angry and went to the church. He met with the prophet and requested for the phone. He told the husband that he had sold the phone and converted it to seed money.

The matter was reported to the police at Igando Division; he was arrested and detained at the police station. The second woman later appeared and informed the police that she was also a victim.

Prophet Osifo was charged before Ejigbo Magistrates court for obtaining under false pretence.

He pleaded not guilty.
The prosecutor, Inspector G. Simon, did not oppose his being granted bail but asked the court for a date for trial.
The Presiding Magistrate, Mr. L.K.J. Layeni, granted him bail in the sum of N50,000 with two sureties in like sum.
He was remanded in prison custody pending when he will perfect his bail condition.
The matter was adjourned till 15th August, 2018.
