President Muhammadu Buhari’s son, Yusuf, has started his mandatory National Youth Service Corps at the NYSC Orientation camp in the Kubwa area of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.

Yusuf’s sister, Zahra Indimi, confirmed that her brother had started the mandatory NYSC.

She shared the information on her Insta-story on Instagram, showing Yusuf’s photograph in the NYSC kit.

This is coming about 11 months after he had a bike accident in the Gwarinpa area of the FCT which got him admitted to a private medical facility in Abuja for a few weeks.

Yusuf had on December 26, 2017, (Boxing Day) sustained a head injury and broke one of his limbs during the crash.

He was thereafter rushed to the Cedar Crest Hospital, Gudu District, for treatment.

The young man was later flown out of the country and returned on March 1, 2018.

Yusuf is a 2016 graduate, along with his sister Zahra, of the University of Surrey in the United Kingdom.

He is the only son of President Buhari with his second (and current) wife Aisha, with whom he has five children.

Yusuf is also the only male of the President’s surviving eight children.

The President’s only other son from his first – and now late – wife Safinatu (who bore him five children), Musa, is deceased.

Yusuf, who is rarely in the public eye, except for the occasional family pictures and rare sightings shares a close bond with his father.

He hang out with him in the farm, even accompanying him on his first official trip to the U.S following his inauguration in 2015.
