A crime reporter with the Source Magazine, Chibuike Osuji, who is on the verge of death and has been admitted at Funto Private Hospital Ijesha, Lagos, has appealed to Nigerians, philanthropists and NGOs for financial assistance to save his life from complicated ailment.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that Osuji who had spent millions of Naira which he had to borrow coupled with support from friends and family members since he was admitted in the hospital cannot walk on his own except with clutches or aided by someone.

What started as mere malaria and typhoid fever when he was diagnosed in the hospital showed a case of ulcer which was dripping blood inside his system and eventually led to the darkening of his feaces made his blood level to drop to twelve percent. He was thereafter treated; it stopped so to speak and he was discharged while his blood level also rose to over 30 percent.

But about three weeks after, he returned back to the hospital after he fell down and hit his head on the floor. He sustained an injury leading to loss of blood and was rushed back to the hospital. The doctors said that his blood level has dropped to fourteen percent and from there another round of treatment started which forced the hospital to conduct a comprehensive test on him. After the scan he was given a referral letter to the Lagos University Teaching Hospital, LUTH, for a PSA scan among others to ascertain the real cause of his problem.

Meanwhile, Osuji who had exhausted his pocket and all avenues to raise funds appeared closed, is now trapped as he is being held hostage by the hospital due to his inability to pay for his already accumulated bills.
Osuji is pleading for help, he needs money to undergo more tests and to settle the already accumulated ones in the hospital.
It was this predicament that made members of the Crime Reporters Association of Nigeria, CRAN, his immediate constituency to step in to support but their effort is not enough to cater for the medical needs. So the erudite journalist in a humble appeal message sent to Daily Independent Newspaper appealed to Nigerians and humanitarian bodies to come to his rescue urgently by supporting him in prayers and financial donations to enable him cater for his medical bills as soon as possible.

Good spirited Nigerians can send their donations to his account number: 6237381300 (Fidelity Bank) and he can also be reached him on 08035569661.
