Woman Arrested For Exploiting Teenage Girls For Sex

A 40-year old woman, Rita Effiong, has been arrested for allegedly abducting and exploiting teenage girls for sex in Lagos.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened at Ikotun area of Lagos where Rita reportedly kept the victims in captivity and subsequently gave them out to her numerous clients to satisfy their sexual desires.
It was gathered that the suspect had been doing so for a long while and charged her clients agreement fees before releasing the victims for the romps.
However, the act got exposed after she gave out a 15-year old girl to one of her clients, one David Eromosele and the police at Ikotun Division got the information. The Police rescued the victim, arrested Eromosele and detained him at the station.

P.M.EXPRESS scooped that during interrogation, Eromosele revealed that the victim was actually released to him by Rita and he paid her an undisclosed amount of money. It was during the investigation that the police discovered other girls who Rita had given out to other clients and they were rescued also.
She was said to always travel down to Calabar in Cross River State to bring those girls for the ugly business before the police busted her.
Rita and Eromosele were found culpable by the police and later charged before the Ejigbo Magistrates Court for abduction and exploiting the victims for prostitution.
They pleaded not guilty.
The prosecutor, Inspector G Simon, informed the court that the victims were teenagers and some adults.
Thus, the Presiding Magistrate, Mr. L.K.J Layeni, ordered that the matter be transferred to the Family Court in Ogba for their prosecution.
The matter was subsequently struck out and the defendants were taken to Ogba where they will be arraigned and prosecuted for the alleged offence.
