Ghana, Niger, Senegal Presidents Congratulate Buhari

Congratulatory messages have continued to pour in for President Muhammadu Buhari over his victory at the just concluded presidential election in Nigeria.

Early on Wednesday after the Independent National Electoral Commission declared Buhari, the All Progressive Congress (APC) winner of the election, President Nana Koffi-Addo of Ghana, Mahamadou issoufou of Niger, and Macky Sall of Senegal sent their congratulatory messages to felicitate with Buhari and the good people of Nigeria on the success of the election.

Femi Adesina, Special Adviser  to the President on Media & Publicity said in a message early on Wednesday that the presidents of these West African states rejoiced with Nigerian President, Buhari, saying his re-election was a demonstration of the confidence Nigerians had in him, and wishing him greater exploits.

Adesina’s statement reads: “Minutes after the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) declared him winner of the 2019 elections, three Presidents from the West African sub-region sent congratulatory messages to President Muhammadu Buhari.

“They are President Nana Koffi-Addo of Ghana, Mahamadou issoufou of Niger, and Macky Sall of Senegal, who himself just won re-election for a second term.

“The Presidents felicitated with President Buhari, saying his re-election was a demonstration of the confidence Nigerians had in him, and wishing him greater exploits.”
