Buruj’s Wizkid Chidera Amuji Returns To Camp

Chidera Amuji, a left-footed midfield jewel, has returned to camp to join other players ahead of Buruj Sports Academy’s trip to the United Kingdom where they are expected to defend their English Super Cup title as well as participate in this year’s edition of Welsh Super Cup.

It would be recalled that the skillful and talented midfielder was one of the shining lights in the squad that won double titles in Manchester last year and he is now looking forward to raising the bar of his performance this year having gained more experience following the training he is getting since arriving at Buruj Sports Academy.

In a recent interview with a daily newspaper, The Vanguard, the Enugu-born player also expressed his readiness to play for the national U-13 team and another showing in England this year will give him another platform alongside other players of Buruj Sports Academy to make a telling statement.

The CEO of the academy, Salaudeen Waheed, also expressed delight on the return of Chidera to camp after being allowed to go on a break.

He declared that the technical department will work hard to put him in top shape ahead of departure for the United Kingdom.

“Chidera is in camp now. He has matured following his performance last year and hopefully, he will take it up from there alongside some other players in camp. By God’s grace, they will all excel this time around” he said.
