The Special Adviser to Governor Willie Obiano on Political Matters, Chief Ifeatu Obi-Okoye, has given assurance that the Congresses and National Convention of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, would be free, fair and credible.

Chief Obi-Okoye made this assertion on ABS News and Current Affairs, Radio and televion programme; FACE THE PRESS. He said that contrary to what he called infantile propaganda in the social media by a few disgruntled persons, APGA, as the third largest political party in Nigeria, remains united, formidable and a force to reckon with in the country.

The Political Adviser assured that adequate arrangements have been made by the party hierarchy to ensure seamless election of officers from the Ward to the National level in its congresses and Convention. He maintained that APGA would respect its zoning and rotation formula in future gubernatorial elections in Anambra State in accordance with its “Be Your Brothers’ and Sisters’ Keeper” Philosophy, insisting that Governor Obiano’s successor would emerge from Anambra South Senatorial District.
Chief Obi-Okoye however emphasised that APGA would continue to discourage religious politics because of its divisiveness, pointing out that the party’s candidates in future elections would be persons of credible pedigrees capable of providing good governance and delivering democracy dividends to the masses.
