Hon. Wasiu Bolaji Seidu Empowers Constituents

The slogan, “every politics is local” was demonstrated at the Agidingbi Town Hall as the Councillor representing Ward E, Ojodu LCDA, Hon. Wasiu Bolaji Seidu, empowered over 100 persons in his constituency with cash to start petty businesses.

The cash gift, termed “loan” is not refundable but was tagged a loan just to enable the beneficiaries to be more serious and to make use of the cash judiciously.

The event was glamorous and well attended by party leaders across the wards.

Hon. Seidu, in his welcome address, expressed his satisfaction and thanked members of his ward for the opportunity given to him to represent them at the Ojodu LCDA Legislative Council and be made the Leader of the House.

Hon. Seidu noted that he is using this medium to appreciate his constituents and to establish the project. He also emphasized the importance of giving and promised everyone at the event that the empowerment exercise will be a continuous project in different categories. He stated that the first category is a petty soft loan and the second category will be a major loan to start higher businesses.

Hon. Yomi Balogun (a.k.a Balo) while expressing his satisfaction with the laudable empowerment programme further noted that Hon. Wasiu Bolaji Seidu has made him proud. Hon. Balogun acknowledged the presence of Hon. Adesegun (a.k.a Baba e) as the representative of a great leader, Cardinal James Omolaja Odunmbaku. Hon. Adesegun said Baba Eto extends his greetings to all members and appreciates the empowerment programme.

The APC Party Chairman, Ojodu LCDA, Comrade Kayode Ajakaiye, also expressed his satisfaction with the level of empowerment and assured the party members that more of such projects will come up very soon as other councillors programmes are on course.

The Apex leader, Alhaji Oladapo Atinsola, said that the empowerment is first of its kind and he implored the leader of the house to extend his gesture to other wards for future references. He encouraged other councillors to emulate the empowerment arrangement that will impact the lives of their constituents.

Hon. Bolaji Soneye, the APC Ward E Chairman, who anchored the programme with lots of excitement, thanked Hon. Seidu for the gesture of giving back to his constituents as a way of showing more appreciation to his ward members on the mandate bestowed on him to represent them at the Council.

In attendance were Hon. Olami Tunji Kogbodoku, Deputy Leader, Ojodu LCDA, Hon. Olumide Akinade, the Majority leader, Ojodu LCDA, Hon. Gbenga Opebi, Chief Whip, Ojodu LCDA, Comrade Kayode Ajakaiye, The APC Party Chairman, Ojodu LCDA, Political leaders Alhaji Oladapo Atinsola, Chief Omolabi, Baba Muse, Hon. Adesegun (Baba e), Hon. Yomi Balogun, the royal fathers (Baale Agidingbi and Baale Akiode) and many other party faithful in Ward E.
