The Bishop-elect is the General Overseer of Christ Unity Ministry, while Dr. Iroh is the Senior Pastor of the church

The Bishopric Consecration is holding under the auspices of  Restoration of Grace Fellowship International (ROGFI), Alabama, USA. The spirit filled event will be officiated by the Bishops of ROGFI who include Bishop Francis Shopekan (Nigeria), who is the host, Bishop Marcus Glessman (Founder ROGFI, USA), Bishop Julius Agani (Executive Vice President, ROGFI from Kenya) and Bishop Mbamba Aristides, President, ROGFI from Cameroon).

The Bishopric Consecration will last four three hours from 3pm on Sunday.

P.M. EXPRESS reports that the Bishop-elect, Iroh, had been a child of spiritual destiny right from birth.

Born 5 September, 1957 to Sunday Osunbor Iroh and Lucy Aghaolor in Shagamu, Ogun State, Nigeria. He was in the 5th position in the family of seven siblings. At birth, the first day, his mother took him to the church when he was crying profusely and handed him over to the prophet. His mother usually comes daily to feed him there and returned home. This exercise continues till the eight day when he was christened Olorunbe and taken home by his mother.

It was not a bed of roses for the Bishop-elect, as he was not born with silver spoon.

An ever brilliant Rev Iroh was unable to proceed to the secondary school after his primary school education, but he had to wait for four years before football paved the way for him at Western College of Commerce in Lagos. These four years were torturing ones for the man of God who had to attend Goodwills Commercial Institute in Lagos where he studied Typing and Shorthand and obtained 50 words in Typing (advance level) and 120 words in Shorthand also (advance level). During this period he was also helpful to his father who was a palm wine tapper by riding on the bicycle to the forest to tap palm wine from Isheri to Idi Araba for sales for that four years. He was also involved in scavenging for about two years.

Due to his philanthropically gesture to the people of Lagos State by sponsoring some students through their tertiary education and putting smiles on people faces especially to the needy, the Oba of Lagos, His Royal Highness, Oba Adeyinka Oyekan conferred him with the title of Borokini of Lagos in 1993 the first in the history of Yoruba land, albeit relinquished the same title in 1998 when there came ecclesiastical calling upon him hearing from God to do so and he immediately relinquished the title and enrolled with WOFBI 2000 session.

An exclusive privy of P.M. EXPRESS to the Bishop-elect’s resume citation revealed that his journey with Jesus Christ started at ECWA in 1976 after couple of years of constant following up of brother Tunde Gbija now Rev (Dr,) Tunde Gbija. His constant following up even after that year in no small way help in grounding him in the faith. Despite Rev Dr  Gbija’s close monitoring, the Bishop-elect did not come to full consciousness of Christ till 1996 in the USA after God delivered him and his family from a poisoned wine given to him by a business partner. He prayed to God for healing and saw the miraculous power of God.

During his wilderness experience in Nigeria from 1998 to 2006, he couldn’t travel overseas to meet his nucleus family for eight years and God gave him the grace of celibacy. So he had nothing to do with any woman till the arrival of his wife in 2006.

“I made a vow with God that any day I copulate the Lord should take me from this world. During same period I was completely ostracised from the world.

“The Lord has always manifested His manifold power and kindness towards me. During my leadership course at the WOFBI in 2000, I heard a voice that said to me to remove my  recommended medicated glasses which was recommended to me for use since 1994 as I couldn’t read or see clearly without its usage and ever since I regained my sight, I have no need of any recommended medicated glass till date.

“Everyone has a purpose he or she was created for in this world. If you don’t know, inquire for this. I also inquired about my purpose from God and I was told in a dream “Christ Unity”, that is building the body of Christ the Lord with these scriptures (Ephesians 4:1-16 nkjv),” he said.

It was not an easy task taking his cross to work for God as it came with big prizes and sacrifices. P.M. EXPRESS understood that  Bishop-elect Iroh had to give to God’s ministry his money spinning event centre, the popular Borokini Civic Hall at Oke Afa in Isolo in Lagos when God demanded for it, even his expensive mansion had to give way for God. The civic centre was to be given him at least the sum of N30 million revenue every month.

He began to live from hand to mouth, rich in assets but hungered. His wife returned from USA to join him in the work in 2006 to which both were not paid any allowance till date but impactful to the life of the members spiritually and physically.

Recently the Lord led him to meet with the World Boxing Champion Bashiru Lawrence Ali, OON popularly known as Bash Ali for an investment purpose but he saw a soul and eventually led him to Christ assuring him that if he could acknowledge Christ all lines shall fall in pleasant places for him. To the glory of God, Bash Ali’s 12 years struggle to fight as the oldest boxer in the Guinness World Record Boxing Championship became a reality within nine months of acknowledging Christ as his Lord and Saviour,  the long delayed awaited Local Organising Committee (LOC) formation was eventually inaugurated on 21 May, 2019 and was part of the inaugural on the invitation of former Nigeria’s Minister of Sports and Development, Barrister Solomon Dalung.

In the quest to better his academic prowess, he gained admission into Kensington University, 520 East Broadway, Glendale, California, USA and completed his MBA programme in 1994/96 sessions.

Before ecclesiastical call, He established Borokini Petroleum Limited in 1994 as well as Borokini Civic Hall. He returned to USA in April 1994 to establish Borokini Investment Corporation wherein he invested over $300,000.00 into pharmaceutical company named Punlabs Quality Products in Houston Texas the only minority generic drug manufacturers in the state of Texas. He was a successful businessman.

He was appointed the National President of Nigerian Zimbabwean Chambers of Commerce in 1993-2000, Director and founding member of Nigerian-Hungarian Chambers of Commerce and also a Director at Nigerian South African Chambers of Commerce. He was awarded Men of Achievement Award in 1994, Hon. Doctorate Degree from Institute of Textile Technology, Arts and Design, Lagos in 1995, and Doctorate Degree in Theology from Alive Christian Theological Seminary and Post Graduate School accredited to Mount Sinai International Bible College and Seminary, New Jersey, USA in 2007 amongst other several awards.

He is currently the General Overseer of Christ Unity Ministry, Lagos since December 15, 2004. Married to Dr Funmilayo Iroh over 37 years ago and were blessed with four (4) glorious children, Mr Olanrewaju Richard Iroh(USA), Miss Oluwakemi Susan Iroh(USA), Mr Olayinka Donnie Iroh(USA) and Master Oluwatobi Bill Iroh (USA) and a wonderful granddaughter.
