Newly ordained Apostle (Mrs) Funmilayo Iroh of Christ Unity Ministry, Oke Afa, Isolo in Lagos has enjoined Nigerians, irrespective of religious affiliations, to restrain themselves from evil, but at all times seek to do good, as this is the only way the society can attain peace and harmony.
Apostle (Mrs) Iroh told P.M. EXPRESS that if people can treat others as they will treat themselves, it will be difficult for evil, violence and other injustice to thrive in the Nigerian society, adding that “if you don’t want to hurt yourself, you won’t want to hurt others. This is the golden rule that we should love our neighbours as we love ourselves,” she said at the ordination ceremony where she, the Senior Pastor of Christ Unity Ministry and her husband, the General Overseer of the church, Bishop Oluwafemi Emmanuel Olorunbe Iroh were consecrated as Apostle and Bishop respectively by Restoration of Grace Fellowship International (ROGFI), Alabama, USA led by Bishop Marcus Glessman in company of Bishop Mbamba Aristides (President, ROGFI from Cameroon). Bishop Julius Agani (Executive Vice President, ROGFI from Kenya), Bishop Inyang Asuquo, Bishop Francis Shopekan and a host of other servants of God.
Apostle Iroh noted that evil persists in Nigeria because people fail to apply the golden rule in their daily lives. She said: “Whatever religious you are practising, you must understand the reason you are created by God. He creates you to love and to treat other people well. This is what is lacking in us as a nation. We fail to appreciate what others do for us. I want to appeal to Nigerians that let us imbibe the attitude of gratitude.

“God told me that we as a people are impatient, we are not grateful and we are not considerate. We fail to understand that gratitude unlock the fullness of life.”
Speaking on her ordination as an Apostle, Dr. (Mrs) Iroh disclosed that the ordination ceremony was a confirmation of what God has instituted on her life. She added that the ordination was an official conferment of the office of Apostleship on her as she has always been working daily on what are expected of an Apostle long before the day of the ordination.
“I’m so happy for what God has done to further confirm His calling upon my life and what left for me is to even do more to reach out to the world and tell them how wonderfully God is. Reward for a job well done is more work and I see this as a great opportunity to serve my God at this next level,” she said.
Her words of advice to people who are seeking the face of the Lord to be somebody in life, she said: “If you want to be great in life, you must be ready to sacrifice a lot and be humble and committed.
“To be an Apostle, God must call you. And the God who calls you will back you up. You must be diligent and be committed to God.”
