Ex Lagos Commissioner, Bamigbetan Celebrates 20 Years Wedding Anniversary With Ejigbo LCDA Residents

Former Lagos State Commissioner for Information, Honourable Kehinde Bamigbetan celebrated 20th wedding anniversary on Boxing Day in Lagos, southwest Nigeria.

The event, which was held at Ejigbo, Lagos, saw the gathering of people from all walks of life including Chairman Ejigbo Local Council Development Area, Honourable Monsuru Bello, chieftains of All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ejigbo LCDA, traditional rulers, religious leaders, market women, youths and friends of Bamigbetan.

Some of the residents who spoke with P.M. EXPRESS expressed gratitude to God for keeping Bamigbetan and his household alive. They described Bamigbetan as a generous person, God fearing and someone who is passionate about community development.

In his own comment, Publicity Secretary of APC in Ejigbo, Saheed Odunsanya thanked Bamigbetan for his commitment and dedication to APC in the LCDA, noting that he was not surprised with the mammoth crowd that came to rejoice with the celebrant.

“The event is not for politicians but for residents in Ejibo LCDA and its environs. Honurable Bamigbetan has been doing this for the past 20 years and I am happy that this year’s edition is unique in terms of organization, and attendance.

“The celebrant has touched many lives and I think he deserved to be honoured too because his style of leadership is uncommon in Ejigbo. He is not only a politician but a professional in his field. I pray that he will celebrate more years of this in good health and prosperity, “he said.

Bamigbetan, who said he was indebted to people noted that celebrating 20 years of his wedding with residents is a way of giving back to the communities that stood by APC  in the last few years. He thanked God for his life and family and promised that he would continue to work for the peace and progress of Ejigbo and its environs.

In a related development, Bamigbetan, a publisher of Echo News weekly newspaper organized award ceremony for the residents who have contributed immensely to the community development.

More than 50 people received awards from Oshodi, Isolo and Ejigbo. Among the award recipients were the Chairman, Isolo Local Council Development Area, Alhaji Shamusideen, Abiodun Olaleye, Chairman Oshodi Local Council, Muse Ariyoh and Chairman Ejigbo Local Council Development Area, Monsuru Bello.

Meanwhile, in its bid to make the children enjoy themselves during the yuletide period, Ejigbo Local Council Development Area recently organized an annual kiddies Christmas funfair at the council premises.

Chairperson of the occasion, wife of the Ejigbo Local Council Boss, Fatimoh Bello expressed gratitude to God for his mercies and protection over the children. She said the council organized the party to make children enjoy the Christmas.
