Man Loses Wife, Child As Car Plunges Into Lagos Lagoon

Tragedy struck Saturday night as a man driving an ash colour salon car with registration number MUS 38 BL lost his wife and their child as the car plunged into the Lagos Lagoon.

The family was driving out of Bonny Camp axis of Victoria Island into the Lagos Island when the car skidded off the road and plunged into the Lagoon, killing the wife and child.

Few minutes into the accident,  officials of Lagos State Emergency Agency LASEMA Response Unit arrived the scene with the equipment.

An eyewitness said the man, who drove the car, was rescued but the wife and child were trapped in the car and it took LASEMA officials some time before they could retrieve the car and by then the two were dead.

There was a huge traffic outward Victoria Island but security operatives were on ground to direct traffic.
