Kogi First Lady, Bar. Amina Bello Receives Most Valuable Governor’s Wife Award

 The Wife of the Governor of Kogi State, Barrister Amina Oyiza Bello Has received the Most Valuable Governor’s Wife Award in recognition of her selfless service to the humanity. 

The award was given to her recently in Abuja.

The award was given to her by Most Governor’s Wives Association (MVGWA) through the activities and impactful nature of her pet project, HAYAT Foundation, which the organizers of the award says is synonymous with the empowerment of women and children who are less privileged.

The MVGWA is under the leadership of chairperson, Dr Bilikisu Magoro and Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Tom Obulu.

In an emotion laden citation rendered to celebrate Hajia (Barrister) Amina Oyiza Bello during the award ceremony, Barrister Bello, the Initiator and Founder of HAYAT Foundation, was described “as one woman with a ‘Heart of Gold’ whose simplicity and humility has endeared her to the people of the State.

“HAYAT Foundation is basically into helping Cerebral Palsy Children and many believe that Hajia (Barrister) Amina Bello’s intervention in this regards is highly commendable and appreciated by beneficiaries of her Foundation.

“What is Cerebral Palsy, many readily ask?

“For the less enlightened, CP, as Cerebral Palsy is commonly known, is a group of permanent movement disorders that appear in early childhood which affects muscle tone, movement and skills in a coordinated and purposeful way.

“Cerebral Palsy is reportedly caused by brain damage that happens before or during a baby’s birth or, during the first 3-5months.

“For the Wife of the Governor, the presentation as the “Most Valuable Governors’ Wife Award” was another milestone for Her Excellency.

“Barr. Amina Oyiza Bello, Wife of the Governor of Kogi State and her team at HAYAT Foundation believe that meeting the criteria adopted by the assessment team of the “Most Valuable Governors’ Wife Award” in the areas of Sustainability, Empowerment, Impact, Change Agent and Corporate Branding, SEICC, there seemed to be no doubt that Hayat Foundation, has been considered a reference point in the area of meeting the dynamic care associated with handling children with cerebral palsy and other special needs.

“In recognition of her selfless service to humanity, the amiable wife of His Excellency, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, the man many have come to regard as “the Digital Governor” is hereby  recognized and presented with the “Most Valuable Governor’s Wife Award” due to the impactful nature of her Pet Project; HAYAT Foundation.”

While reacting to the award and honour bestowed on her, Her Excellency, Hajia (Barrister) Amina Oyiza Bello said that she was happy to be considered for such an award while also calling on Nigerians and the global community at large to join hands to help fight against the stigma associated with people living with special needs.

Barr. Amina Bello believes that it is high time for Nigerians to recognize that persons with special needs deserve a better life, and equal society.

Chairperson of the organizing team, Dr. Bilkisu Magoro and MVGWA Leader/COE, Tom Obulu, disclosed that the various projects initiated by the Governors’ wives have positively affected the lives of so many people within their states, hence their selection for the third Edition of the most covetous awards;  Most Valuable Governor’s Wife Awards.

With the increased call globally for the rights of children with special needs to be upheld and respected, the award is coming up at the most auspicious time.

Other awardees at the event included the wives of Bauchi State Governor, Hajia Hadiza Abubakar, Bayelsa State, Rachael Dickson, Kebbi State, Dr. Zainab Bagudu, Nasarawa State, Hajia Mairo Al-Makura, Lagos State, Mrs. Bolanle Ambode, Anambra State, Mrs. Ebelechukwu Obiano and Oyo State, Mrs. Florence Ajimobi.

Meanwhile, an indigene of Kogi State, Mr Jaiyeola Araga Ahmed, the CEO/Chairman of Eehimultimedia Productions, Lagos told PM EXPRESS that Hajia Bello through her project, HAYAT Foundation, has catered for a lot of children living with disabilities, orphans and widows.

“I want to enjoin all charity organizations such as Ebira Foundation Help Center, Proudly Aniebira and others to team up with HAYAT Foundation to achieve its lofty dreams for our society and make life worth living for the less privileged in Kogi State, ” said Ahmed.
