Children of fallen light of Highlife music, late Dr. Victor Abimbola Olaiya (OON) is planning to immortalize him with befitting yearly music workshop to be held in Lagos.

This was made public recently by the deceased son and lead vocalist of All Stars International Band, Bayode Olaiya in a chat with our correspondent.

The amiable trumpeter who took after his celebrated late father, opened-up while discussing possible family channel to immortalize their Late Patriarch who meant a lot to them.

He noted that they would start planning after the coming February 12 Family Remembrance Get Together.

Bayode, however, said that the only two possible challenges they might face initially could be the corporate sponsorship and lack of genuine interest by some supposedly lovers and fans of Olaiya and his family.

“Whatever happens, we would commit everything at our disposal to kickstart this immortalization exercise because Dr. Olaiya meant a lot to us. He is such a lovely father,” Bayode stated.
