Coalition Of Anambra Youths And Student Leaders Partners The Soludo Project

Prof. Chukwuma Soludo continued his consultation yesterday as he held a 5-hour incisive meeting with the leadership of a coalition of notable Youth and Student Union bodies in Anambra State.
The meeting focused on pertinent issues of youth inclusiveness in governance and the need to consolidate on the leadership gains of the current administration. Most importantly, it was another opportunity to deepen the conversation on the need to support value based leadership in the State beyond the transactionary model of the old order.
Speakers at the meeting took turns to identify some critical challenges faced by both youths and students, including access to capital for business, absence of scholarship and bursary schemes for Anambra Students etc.
Soludo charged the leaders on the need to be solution driven. “I am particularly interested in the ‘How’ of things. When you identify a problem take it a step further and try to provide relevant solutions so that when the opportunity to solve such problems come up you are not found wanting” he said.
Soludo further reminded them that the world of today is not interested in the volume of certificates individuals hold, but in the quality of skillsets they possess necessary for solving societal problems. This, according to him, is at the heart of the industry demands of the 21st century.
The Youths and Students rose up after the meeting with a promise and commitment to be active partners in the Soludo project.
For a Greater Anambra, think *SOLUDO!*
