The Chief of Staff to the Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Tayo Ayinde, has commended four staff of the office, who retired statutorily in the first quarter of Year 2021 for their selfless service and commitment to the State.

Mr. Ayinde, who gave the commendation at a brief last day in office ceremony, held at the Lagos House, Ikeja, to celebrate the retirees who have spent 35 years in service or attained 60 years of age, congratulated them for leaving an unblemished record, saying they should be grateful to God for sparing their lives to witness the day because some of the people they started with are no more.

He said it is the dream of every public servant to retire gracefully and honourably, urging the civil servants still in active service to remain committed and loyal in their official duties and responsibilities.

In his own remark, the Permanent Secretary, Office of the Chief of Staff, Mr. Olawale Musa, applauded the retirees for a fulfilled service year and implored them to engage in lawful vocation and hobbies that are stress-free in retirement.

He charged them to live within their means since they would be on pension and not regular salary, while praying for their good health and sustenance.

The event was witnessed by Permanent Secretary, Central Internal Audit Office; Mrs. Olushola Oduguwa, Directors and other staff.
