How Notorious Land Grabber, Shina Okolomo’s Boys Caused Havoc In Ijedodo Community

The Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Command, CP Hakeem Odumosu, has ordered for the arrest of some notorious land grabbers led by one Shina Okolomo and Otunba Sambo, who reportedly invaded Ijedodo community with different arms and caused havoc in the area.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that Okolomo and Sambo had led about 100 fully armed thugs, who drove their boats from the canal water way from Abule Ado and stormed Ijedodo community destroying houses and properties in the area.
The bandits reportedly shot one of the security men, identified as Kazeem Ogun, who is now lying critically at an undisclosed hospital where the doctors are battling to save his life.
Several people were injured while many were said to be hospitalized over the attack, which has instilled fear in the neighbourhood.
The order, for their arrest for prosecution, followed a petition to the Commissioner of Police facilitated by the Baale of Ijedodo, Alhaji Jelili Akoyi and owners of Igbo Buru Otu Estate located in the area.
In the petition to CP Odumosu, which was sighted by P.M.EXPRESS, it stated that on 17th March, 2021, some armed men suspected to thugs, abductors, cultists, hoodlums, who described themselves as Shina Kolomo Boys of Abule Ado led by Otunba Samba, invaded Igbo Buru Otu Estate in Ijedodo area of Lagos with arms such as guns, machetes and other dangerous weapons.

It stated that Shina Okolomo Boys are well known land grabbers, who perfect their land grabbing by killing and destroying properties of the victims and forcefully taking possession.
It further stated that the group stormed the place, shot sporadically, maliciously destroyed buildings and properties in the estate, then tied and abducted one of the estate security men, Oladipupo Segun Gbenga and took him to an unknown place.
It stated that it took the intervention of the Police from Isheri Oshun Division and soldiers, before the abducted security man, Gbenga, was released while the other security man, Ogun, was taken to the hospital.
It stated that Shina Okolomo Boys promised to come back to cause more destruction in the area and they had to appeal to the Commissioner of Police to intervene and bring the suspects to book in order to ensure the protection of lives and property in the area.
It was on the premise of their petition that the Police boss ordered for the arrest of the suspects for prosecution.
