AACDU Electoral Committee Constituted

Following the inability of Umu Abba, Nwangele LGA, Imo State, to nominate members of the Electoral Committee for the forthcoming AACDU election as requested on the various AACDU platforms, finally an Electoral Committee has been constituted.
According to Chief Joe Ndubuisi Asole (Chi na alurum, KSC), Secretary of the outgoing AACDU Executive, members of the Committee were chosen in collaboration with the leadership of the various communities.
The following are members of the AACDU Electoral Committee:
1. Chief Madubuike Ohiaeri. Chairman2. Chief Charles Meboro (Umuokwara)3. Charles Iwuchukwu.4. Chief Godson Añumnu (Umudurunna)5. Nnaemeka Shiweobi (Umudurunna).6. Jude Owuamana (Ekitiafor).7. Eugene Anokwuru (Ekitiafor).8. Chief Engr Ken Ebubeogu (Ogwuaga).9. Patrick Ohiaeriaku (Ogwuaga).
Stated below are the terms of reference of the constituted Electoral Committee:
1. Present to Umu Abba as soon as possible an electoral guideline based strictly on the provisions of the ratified AACDU constitution.
2. Give to Umu Abba an acceptable election devoid of any form of malpractice.
3. Ensure that no Abba son is disenfranchised as a result of place of residence or otherwise.
4. Ensure that every eligible Abba son is given an opportunity to contest in the election.
5. Where not provided by the constitution determine the minimum qualification (academic/age) of contestants especially for the position of Secretary.
6. Where not provided by the constitution determine the necessary punishment for act(s) of holiganism and disruption of the electoral process.
7. Screen and present to Umu Abba names of qualified contestants.
8. Where not provided by the constitution, determine the system of voting to be followed at the election.
9. Collate election results and announce same to Umu Abba and present winners for swearing-in into office.

While appreciating the contributions of the outgoing leadership of AACDU under High Chief (Engr.) Paul Ozigbu (Nnanyereugo of Abba, Ekwueme ll of Ogwuaga Abba), the Publisher of 4thestatereporters.com, Njoku MacDonald Obinna, also challenged those who aspire to occupy the various positions in the Union to be forthright, visionary and of impeccable character as to sustain a number of the people-oriented programmes, policies and projects of the Association.
Njoku MacDonald Obinna however, commended the Association for handing over a drafted Constitution to the incoming Executive as part of its landmark achievements in office.
