The operatives at Zone 13 Command in Ukpo, Anambra State, have foiled attempts by unknown gunmen to raze down the Command, killed some of them and recovered one of the guns used for the operations.

P.M.EXPRESS gathered that the incident happened early Monday morning when the hoodlums tried to sneak in and attack the administrative offices of the Command without any cell and  arms inside.

According to Police sources, the hoodlums tried breaking in through the back of the fence, which is in the bush, but they met a resistant and fearful attack from some in-house Police. Though they have damaged some properties already before the Police repelled them.

It was gathered that the Police gave them more than they ever bargained for and they ran with corpses of slain members.

However, they left behind a gun, which was taken from Naval Officers at Awkuzu town in Anambra State some months ago and the gun was recovered.

According sources around Ukpo, said the hoodlums suffered great casualties unlike their successful operations in Imo State where the Police headquarters was destroyed, detainees were released and arms carted away.

This may have given them signal that the Police and other security agencies are now battle ready to deal with the hoodlums across the States.

This story is not realistic. The unknown gunmen were repelled yet they succeeded in burning down so many cars parked in the Zone 13 Headquarters and damaging the building seriously.
