Senator Andy Uba’s Message Of Hope To Ndi Anambra

Posted on July 22, 2021

Anambra State, the only state we can truly call our home is currently in a pitiable state with intractable economic problems as a result of institutionalized maladministration by the APGA-led government. Worse still, there has been no governance or a legitimate government at the local government level, which is the last tier of government closest to the people. The worrying part is that many have come to accept these anomalies as the new normal. This has made our people to resign to fate with no real hope for a radical transformation of the state.

These are part of what motivated Senator Emmanuel Andy Uba to throw his hat into the ring to contest for the executive governor of Anambra State in these perilous times. As someone who is desirous to tackle the tripod problem of gross infrastructural deficit, lethargic economic growth and burgeoning insecurity in Anambra State, he has mapped out a clear roadmap of connected development to bring an urgency to the transformation of our dear state and he is currently assembling a formidable team of experts and professionals in many fields to help him hit the ground running once Ndi Anambra deliver a resounding mandate to him on November 6, 2021.

Senator Andy Uba’s first priority as Governor is to restore sanity and safety to Anambra State through a combination of homegrown security solutions that is tailored to the unique security challenges facing Anambrarians on a daily basis. He has not hidden his desire to push for a community-based policing approach supported by a highly efficient and technological-based conventional policing.

Having noticed the strong correlation between unemployment and insecurity, Sen. Andy Uba has identified massive youth empowerment as a critical tool to stem the tide of insecurity in our dear state. Anambra youths should expect a massive empowerment scheme in an Andy Uba administration that will in the long run create millionaires across the state and not just from a particular section of the state. Ndi Anambra should get ready for the expected explosion in the number of youth industrialists and service providers.

Senator Andy Uba is very hopeful that by bringing Anambra State closer to the center as an APC State, he will confidently push for the award and speedy completion of critical new Federal projects in the state particularly, the Awka to Okigwe Road, Adani Road, Eastern railway spur to Onitsha through Awka, low cost Federal Housing Estates among other crucial Federal interventions. It is also instructive to note that Senator Andy Uba has expressed his determination to wean Anambra off reliance on Federal allocations noting that Anambra cannot develop quickly if we are over-reliant on the shrinking FAAC allocations or maintain our current IGR levels. He therefore, intends to explore many innovative options to raise the revenue profile of this state through state-backed exploitation and value addition to our vast resources while at the same time attracting private capitals through Public Private Partnerships to drive economic and infrastructural development.

Senator Andy Uba is equally passionate about significantly improving the Human Development Index of Anambra through deliberate massive investment in the health and education sectors. Anambra schools and hospitals will witness a radical transformation in an Andy Uba administration. Experts commissioned by Senator Andy Uba are currently touring the state to help develop a sustainable education and healthcare transformation blueprint that would change the course of healthcare delivery and education forever in Anambra State.

Having identified power as the fuel of industrialization and innovation, Sen. Andy Uba is also making conscious plans to utilize the states proven gas potentials to drive power generation. This is very important to Sen. Uba because he knows that Ndi Anambra are a business-oriented people with a lot of industrial concerns on various scales but whose capabilities have been severely hampered by inadequate or unreliable power supply. This is a sector he will tackle headlong to help drive industrialization and by extension employment in Anambra State.

Senator Andy Uba has equally made it known that he will restore the third tier of government once elected in line with the quest of the federal government to engender true federalism and bring accountable governance back to the grassroot. Local government autonomy is therefore sacrosanct to him.

In the coming weeks and months, Senator Andy Uba and his team of carefully chosen experts will be unveiling to Ndi Anambra, the well-thought out and aggregated plans of Senator Andy Uba to bring a renewed sense of hope to Ndi Anambra through developments and policies that lifts people out of poverty in a secured environment.

However, we can only achieve much if we stick together and collectively fight to rescue our state from bad, directionless governance and stagnation. There is nothing we cannot achieve when we are united. Anambra is populated by the most ambitious and hardworking people on this planet, we just need an ambitious and hardworking government to unlock our potentials. Senator Emmanuel Andy Uba represents the kind of Governor Anambra needs at this point in time. Let’s therefore keep a date with destiny as we vote for *Senator Andy Uba (MFR), the Governorship Candidate of the All Progressives Congress in the Anambra Governorship Election on November 6, 2021.
