61st Independence Anniversary: Hon. Odunmbaku Preaches Peaceful Coexistence

In commemoration of Nigeria’s 61st Independence Anniversary, the Executive Chairman of the Ojodu Local Council Development Area, Lagos State, Hon. Segun Odunmbaku, has expressed his high hopes for a better Nigeria while advocating for peaceful coexistence of all the citizens across ethnic divides, insisting that only unity can help achieve aspirations of a greater nation.
In his Independence Day remarks, the Council Chairman, Hon. Segun Odunmbaku said, “On this day, we reminiscence about our struggles towards the liberation of the “pride and giant of Africa” and celebrate the birth of freedom and sovereignty. It is a day to emphasize and reaffirm the tenets upon which the structure of our dear nation was built”.
“Peaceful coexistence, without strife, acrimony, divisiveness or prejudice; unity in diversity; hope for a better future; dutifulness and each contributing his developmental quota in ensuring a prosperous society; hospitality, dedication and selflessness amongst others.”
“All these should be our watchwords as we strive to surmount seemingly fleeting challenges we might be passing through at the moment, and hope for an assured brighter and rewarding future.”
