A.A. Motors & Logistics Company Receives Over 10 CNG-Powered Buses To Boost Sustainable Transport

A Lagos-based private transportation company under NURTW in Lagos State has received 10 Compressed Natural Gas (CNG)-powered buses from the Federal Government, which were delivered on 31st December, 2024.
The CEO of A.A. Motors Logistics Company, Prince Ajele Abeyi Abayomi, Ikomodina, who doubles as NURTW Chairman of the Amuwo Odofin branch, commended the Presidential Initiative on Compressed Natural Gas-powered buses to the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) in Lagos State.
Ikomodina, who posted on his verified Facebook page said, “On 1st January, 2025, I officially received a fleet of 10 Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) powered buses from the Federal Government, delivered from Abuja to the A.A. Motors terminal on the Mile 2 – Lagos-Badagry Expressway”.
Commending President Bola Tinubu’s initiative, he said that it is essential to ensure sustainable transportation to mitigate the impact of the removal of fuel subsidy while promoting safer, cleaner, and more reliable transportation.
“This partnership is anticipated to elevate the state’s public transport sector, providing cost-effective and eco-friendly solutions for both commuters and transport operators.”
He noted: “I appreciate and commend the initiative supporting private transporters in Lagos; this will strengthen the partnership with A.A. Motors Logistics Company. The buses were tested and commenced operations immediately after delivery for interstate commercial mass transit services in the Southwest.”
