Ààrẹ’birin (Hon.) Princess Folashade Olabanji-Oba Describes Olubadan’s Death As A National Loss

The National Deputy Chairman, Association of Local Government Vice Chairmen of Nigeria, Executive Vice Chairman of Ikorodu Local Government area and the Global President, Yoruba Council of Women World-wide (YCWW), Ààrẹ’birin (Hon.) Princess Folashade Olabanji-Oba, has expressed shock over the death of Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba (Dr) Saliu Akanmu Adetunji Ajé Ogugunuso I.

In a statement made available to newsmen, she noted that the committee of National Vice Chairmen and the Yoruba Women Group received the news of Olubadan’s death with heavy hearts but with gratitude to the Almighty for a life well lived.

While condoling the Oyo State Government and people of Ibadanland, the Progressive Women Leader described the death of the respected monarch as a loss to the nation and the Nigerian progressive community.

“We received the news of the death of the monarch with heavy heart and gratitude to God for a life well lived. His death is a loss to the nation and the Nigerian progressive community likewise all the Yorùbá speaking people.”

“We join the people of Oyo State and the people of Ibadanland, to pray for repose of the soul of the great monarch.”

“We pray that God Almighty grants the family the fortitude to bear this heavy loss. May God reward all the good works of Oba Akanmu Adetunji, forgive his limitations and bless what he left behind. May his soul rest in peace!” Ààrẹ’birin (Hon.) Princess Folashade Olabanji-Oba concluded.
